Embroidered Textile Art

I recently saw this DIY on the blog a beautiful mess and fell in love!

Collecting together wool in the colour scheme of my living room I set about creating these graphic pieces of art.I love how the wool will add texture to my living room and bring the colours together, its really easy and super versatile as you can create any design you like!

Supplies

- Plastic canvas, I chose a 10 mesh which you can find here

- Wool in various colours

- Photo frames

- Scissors

- Large needle

1- I stitched the wool randomly to create my pattern but you can plan and block out spaces on your canvas to what ever design you like.

2- Stitch the wool through the canvas and tie behind and just stitch shapes and patterns however you wish!

3- Once complete add a frame. I choose two with a 3D surround to add to the graphic look.

There you have it!!

I am excited for the reading nook to be finished in the living room so I can place these on the little shelves. I am thinking of trying a herringbone design or adding fabrics and pom pom trim on my next piece.
