Christmas Preparations - DIY wreath

I thought I would share how I have prepared the house for the festivities!

Decoration

This year I made another wreath for our door but this time for the inside. You really can add anything you like to your own DIY wreath and its super easy! I collected together old Christmas decorations and vintage brooches to add a unique edge to mine. My auntie gave me a selection of holly which had yellow berries to match in with my colour theme in the room already. To finish off I wired in some battery operated fairy lights.

We opted for a real mini tree to go in the big open space we have ready for the wood burner and I just added fairy lights and a turquoise star on the top.Elsewhere I highlighted areas with more battery operated fairy lights which as you can see from the photos really make the place feel so christmasy and cosy. Oh and the large wooden star in the window adds a focal point! It was super super cheap from Asda!

Festive food and drink
We organised a little festive get together with some friends so I thought I would also share a few photos from that too. We set the dining table up with plates of nibbles and a little bar area in the kitchen adding fairy lights behind the bottles to make it look extra festive and merry!

I would love to see how you decorate for Christmas so be sure to link any blog posts or Instagram profiles below.I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and I am looking forward to sharing the start of the kitchen makeover in the new year.

Dining area Makeover - Oak Dining table

I thought I would share some photos of the dining area of our living room which we have tried to zone into different areas to make best use of the small space and I actually think we have managed to make the small space appear bigger and now we use every part of it. You can see the welcome area and Fireplace makeover on the blog too!

As you can see from the images above we designed and George made the table and benches himself. We opted for benches to allow us to push them away under the table when we weren't using them, also stopping large chairs blocking the views. George added a glass strip down the centre to add a little unique touch which we have added fairy lights in for Christmas but we could change up over the seasons to best suit the style of the room.
I think this table perfectly suits our home tying in the contrasting mix of materials we have used throughout the room with the oak tops and clean white legs mixed with the modern glass.

Homeware range and Sofa area

I wanted to share these quick snaps of my sofa area with you as it features some of my cushion designs! I am super happy with this little section of the living room, I am just on the look out for a rug to add a little warmth to the look.

I thought I would order a couple myself to check the quality and they are really durable and perfectly made printed onto a lovely quality of fabric, shipped from america they take no longer than two weeks to arrive. My favourite has to be the blue glitter Cushion it just looks super dreamy with the blue tones mixed with silver glitter.  I love to mix and match patterns and the tropical palm design adds a vibrant pop of colour, the bristol print cushion features a photo I took using my Diana dreamer lens camera to capture Bristol suspension bridge I love this print as it reminds me of home.

I hope you like my new homeware designs which you can check out along with lots of other products and prints over at my Society 6 page! Ohh and also at the moment you can get money off and free shipping!

New winter collection- planning a shoot

This collection is made up of fun embroidered slogans including a take on the ‘crazy’ Christmas jumper. I wanted the collection to still have that grungy street photography kind of vibe so I have styled the pieces with frayed and reworked denim, beanies and chunky boots. Before I began designing this collection I put together this little mood board which helped me create a theme and gave me an idea of the type of final images I was hoping to achieve.

The team for this shoot was made up of two lovely models and myself as the photographer and stylist! I really love seeing my ideas come together, and as much as I also love working with other photographers and creatives I do like to shoot my own work from time to time.
The location is vital in getting the types of images I was hoping for, so the night before the shoot I headed out with my dad around Bristol to scout out the perfect spot! I found this really old grungy car park which looking closer had so many different background opportunity’s which made it perfect for my shoot. I also loved that I could play a lot with depth of field and composition as there were lots of metal staircases that gave an industrial type of vibe.

I am really happy with this first set of images! I am currently working on more pieces for the collection which I hope to shoot soon!
So keep an eye out and stay sassy!

Greece Photo diary - Lardos, Lindos, Pefkos

I Thought I would share a few snaps from my holiday to Greece. I Have previously been to Crete and also Zante but this was my first time in Rhodes, we stayed in a lovely little area called Lardos in a hotel only a couple of minutes from the beach which was perfect for the relaxing holiday we were hoping for.

My favourite things to do whilst in Rhodes-

Get lost in the winding cobbled streets of Lindos , I could of literally spend hours just exploring the little streets and photographing the pretty white and blue buildings and the views are just so beautiful.

Eat a lot of Hommus it is so dreamy! I think I had it every single day whilst on holiday! I also loved the tomatoes, feta and lamb kleftiko YUmmmmm

Eat in Pefkos, there are lots of restaurants and cocktail bars to choose from in pefkos and a wander down to the beach is defiantly a must, I just loved looking at all the blue and white houses covered in pink flowers, there were so many dragonflies too!

Visit Lardos town square of an evening, the restaurants serve amazing Greek dishes which are super cheap! we were eating three course meals for around fifty euro for the both of us! Our favourite restaurants were Roulas and Valantinas, Memories cocktail bar is also lovely,I loved sipping my strawberry daiquiri and just watching the locals go about their day.

Lastly Take a spare suitcase!

Metallic Tattoos

I recently went on holiday to Greece and took these super pretty tattoos to try from Gilded ink . I am a huge fan of piling on the jewels especially on holiday, but it can be a pain when on the beach or around the pool, I was surprised at how much these tattoos looked like jewellery, my favourite were the band designs which I wore as anklets, they worked really well with my metallic sandals too!

I really love the designs of the Hazira pack too they are so intricate and delicate looking.
The Aruba pack has some amazing mystical golden wings which I really want to wear for new years eve!

What do you guys think?
