I am really not a big make up fan , I literally sit in my bed half a sleep and use a little mirror to apply mascara and some bare minerals! Someone teach me how to make up!
So really for me a dressing table would be quite a waste, so I came up with this little nook in one of the alcoves in the bedroom. I collect lots of things but when it comes to vintage bags I have a crazy amount and I do actually use most of them! For this DIY we used a huge Ikea mirror which is perfect to see your whole outfit without cutting your head or feet off! Two shelves which george made and painted to house my favourite and go to shoes of the moment.
Down one side of the mirror I bought a waterfall photo frame and put some old photos in which really cheers me up if I am having a I have no clothes , I look terrible grumpy morning! But also is a really cute display idea.
I really like the two vintage rose hooks we attached , I use these to either hold some of my bag collection, to outfit plan or just to display pretty dresses like this one from motel rocks so I can just look at it all day and its not hidden in my wardrobe.
I hope you like my little dressing nook as much as I do! Id love to see your shoe/ bag displays or lust over your dressing tables :)
