DIY christmas wreath with Tkmaxx and homesense

Every year I like to make my own wreath and this year with the help from Tkmaxx and homesense this is what I created! I popped into homesense to pick up some bits and pieces I could add to my plain wreath - There is so much to choose from and I love how the decorations are organised into each colour. Of course I headed to the blue and silver section!

I choose a mix of decorations that I thought worked well together. I also found the wreath holders which were only £5!

To make your wreath you can put together the base yourself or just buy a plain one from a garden centre or even pick up a fake one (homesense/tkmaxx) do plenty. My auntie made up my base and then I just used wires to attach the decorations.

I really love my wreath this year!
What do you think? I would love to see any christmas DIYs you have done this christmas.

DIY badge/pin Bag for a fraction of the price!

I think the badge, pin detailed bags are going to be a huge trend! They seem to be popping up everywhere. I recently bought the Bug cross body bag from Zara which you would of seen a little snap over on my Instagram. The good thing about this trend is that you can personalise with your own customisation, even if you buy a bag with badges already on like the ones below you can always add pins and badges to make the bag truly unique!

Bag pin bag - Zara interchangeable flap bag , Mustard Charm cross body bag - Zara, Badge detail black clutch - Topshop , Red insect detail bag- Zara , White badge detail coin bag - Topshop

To create my own I took a trip to primark to buy a plain black bag, you can buy new or use an old bag you want to revamp! I found this one which will be perfect as the material is soft and will be easy to pin, it is also a lovely size and has added chain detail on the strap! It was also super cheap at £7, they also had a selection of pin sets, I picked up one with a little pineapple and cacti but there was plenty to choose from. You can find such a wide selection of pins and badges , I especially like to shop on depop or etsy, just search for enamel pins or embroidered patches/badges.

I have a huge collection of vintage brooches which would add a personal touch to the bag and also make it appear a lot more expensive and unique. You can even stitch on charms and add chain detail.

Its simple! Its all about arranging your brooches, badges, patches how ever you like and over time you can change them up and add more. I Thought it might be cool to hunt down some letter charms in my initials or name to add too!

Let me know what you think of the badge/pin trend and if you are going to try this DIY

Cute Cabin Pod stay in Devon

My parents treated us to a stay in this super cute pod in Sidmouth Devon and I just had to share it with you guys as it was the perfect weekend getaway. In this day and age it is so easy to get consumed with technology, constantly checking social media seeing the world through a lens rather than in real time. So this weekend I totally switched off (bar these images to show you!) with no internet, TV or gadgets. We all ate together , played games , went on walks and just totally relaxed.

These little pods were the perfect way to relax!

Staying in the pod was like camping but without all the effort, everything is all set up - you just need to take your own bedding. Each pod has a double bed, seating area with table which doubles up as a single bed, there is even a kettle, then outside you have your own set of wooden chairs and outdoor heater which makes it super cosy when BBQ-ing in the evenings.

It would be a lovely idea to hire out all four pods for a birthday weekend or for camping with friends as you would pretty much have the whole field to yourselves!

Kings down tail camp site  itself is such a lovely place to unwind surrounded by sheep and fields. The grounds are beautiful and really well kept. The toilets and shower/washing areas are super clean, the reception/shop is especially instagramable! It is situated in Sidmouth which make it so easy to visit Lyme Regis one of my favourite places! but also beer beach which you must visit if you stay here.

I really enjoyed my stay in the pod! Felt like a super cute little den! Let me know if you have stayed anywhere similar? I really want to go stay in a tree-house next!

My Bill Skinner Jewellery collection

My Love of Bill Skinner Jewellery started about year ago when I discovered the golden bee pendant necklace. I was searching pinterest as I had seen a girl wearing a bee pendant and just had to have one myself, at first I didn't notice the brand name but when I went on to research into the best bee pendant I found Bill Skinner jewellery. Not only did I instantly fall in love with the jewellery but the name Bill Skinner is actually the name of my Grandad, Bamp as we called him. He passed away just before my tenth birthday but I remember so much about him and miss him like crazy. Anyway last year I was about to go and have an operation that I was extremely nervous for when I actually came across the Bill Skinner jewellery. After my operation my Fiance surprised me with the golden bee pendant and now every time I wear a Bill Skinner piece I think of my Grandad.

Each piece is so intricately detailed and I was excited to shoot my collection to share with you.

Firstly the Bee and honeycomb friendship bracelet* - Its just so beautifully simple and would make the most perfect gift.

The Mini baby bee* and Mini floral and bee* golden rings look amazing worn together, the more rings the better! These two are super affordable too, and you can even purchase them over on ASOS.

Next the Silver Baby bee and daisy necklace* which I team with the Silver baby bee pendant necklace* - these two make the perfect pair! but also look lovely and dainty worn separately.

The Baby bee ring in silver  - Now I do love all of my jewellery but this ring has to be one of my favourites! I actually treated myself to this one when I accomplished a big fear of mine , as a kind of well done to me. It is so beautifully made with such intricate detail.

Golden pineapple necklace - This was a birthday present! I just love how fun and tropical this is but still keeping the beautiful craftsmanship.

The Gold bee necklace  - This was my first piece, the necklace that started the obsession. It is beautiful and Whenever I wear it, which is almost daily I get lots of compliments on it.

Safari Midi rings* - Four little rings each with a different animal including a Lion , Buffalo, Antelope and Rhino- Super cute! and I cannot wait to stack these up on holiday.

Elephant ring - This is such a cute little ring , and goes so well with my other silver rings. Elephants have always been my favourite animal so I just had to snap this one up! It is also currently in the sale for only £20!

So that is my current collection! that seems to be growing rapidly. I even know that my mum has bought me the Bee floral ring pendant that she is keeping back for my birthday in November! She had to tell me in case I went ahead and bought it myself.

The other pieces I have my eye on are the Wild strawberry stacking rings which I think will look so lovely paired with my silver bee and elephant ring! The more the better right?! The Silver Knot ringCherub ringElephant head ring - can you tell I like rings? If you do too you should check out the collection as lots of them are in the sale too!

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing and creating the photographs for, let me know what your favourite pieces are and if you own any of Bills jewellery already.

* All opinions are my own, this post was not sponsored but Bill Skinners team kindly sent me a couple of pieces. All of which have a * next to them. I love each and every piece and will enjoy wearing them.

Easy ways to update your home with homesense - Botanical trend

As the seasons change I like to change up a few things around the home much like how you would update your winter wardrobe to your summer wardrobe. I was contacted by homesense and TKMaxx to go into store and pick out easy ways in which I can update my home for summer.

Firstly I wanted to focus on the bedroom - I keep the walls and bedding very neutral with a lot of white, this makes it super easy to change up through the seasons. As you can see from a previous bedroom post where I injected some colour through accessories. Recently I have really been loving the botanical trend in homeware, the botanical trend is about creating a light and airy feeling with statement prints against a white wall  so when I spotted this beautiful bug printed cushion I just had to snap it up! The cushion was the centre to this design and helped to pull together the other accessories.

You can change up photos or artwork to tie in your theme or just to update the space, I used delicate floral and butterfly prints which I have picked up at car-boots and charity shops. Adding indoor plants, succulents or flowers in the home instantly adds that burst of nature making it feel updated, fresh and summery.

I also created a little DIY of my embroidered bee in gold onto a white cushion cover, I love how this works so well with the statement printed cushion I picked up in a local homesense store. I am thinking of starting a little range of embroidered homeware to go alongside my clothing and accessories !
would you guys be interested in embroidered bee cushions too?

So this summer let loose, do not be afraid to be daring and create your own botanical garden within your home. Homesense and TKMaxx is a great place to start and each store holds lots of different treasures so you never know what you will uncover.

- Thank you to homesense/TKMaxx for sponsoring this post

New home additions - Home haul

We are currently making over our garden so I have found myself buying some new summery bits for the house too. Buying new home wear is an easy way to update your home for the summer without decorating and changing up the walls.

Firstly I thought the front of our house could do with a couple of little updates! So of course I took a visit to Tiger - If you love everything flamingo this is the place to go! I picked up this little flamingo windmill and it really makes visitors smile. Adding pops of colour through new summery flowers is another way to make the front of your house extra summery - I went for this bright pink one which contrasts beautifully with the turquoise door.

I could not resist these Palm tree glasses not only are they the cutest! they were only £3.50 each and plastic so perfect for picnics or using in the garden, i actually made a couple of strawberry daiquiris over the weekend in them already.

In Tiger I also picked up some flamingo glasses and those little ice cream scoop bowls which are adorable!

Tiger also had lots of ice cream themed kitchen and party accessories so I picked up these salt and pepper shakers which were only £2! Im always shocked at how super affordable everything is in tiger. I also got some real cute ice cream bunting - need to organise a party just so I can use it.

We also purchased the pale blue swan microwave which matches our Blue fridge freezer I just love the retro look it injects into our kitchen.

Here is a little peak into our garden which is really starting to come together. A recent purchase was the super tropical fan palm plant which homebase are selling for £15! it makes our little garden in Stroud feel super tropical especially paired with my Tropical palm print outdoor cushions which I designed and sell over at society 6.

I hope you enjoyed my little home haul, I am really enjoying updating my home and garden for the summer and excited to share our garden make over in the next week or so!

Weekend guide to visiting Brighton

We recently took a little weekend break away to Brighton. Its a place I have always wanted to visit and as soon as we got there I wondered why we hadn't been before now!

Luck was on our side as the weather was incredible for the UK , People were actually sunbathing in bikinis on the beach! I didn't go that far but it was lovely to have an ice cream looking out to the pier.

Things you must do when you visit -

Get lost in the lanes - The 'lanes' are a collection of narrow lanes in Brighton which are famous for their small shops, cafes and narrow alleyways.

Where to eat

- You must try a cupcake from angel food bakery , I mean just look at them.... We tried the salted caramel and the strawberries and cream ssoooo dreamy

cloud 9 - Do the BEST milkshakes and ice creams.

- Giggling squid for crazy good Thai food

My favourite thing to do in Brighton was just to walk around and look at all the pretty little coloured houses, graffiti and quirky little shops. If you go into snoopers paradise you can use a vintage style photo booth for just £3! such a cute little souvenir of our trip.

I cant wait for my next visit so if you have any other suggestions do comment below.
